Your responsibilities
- You will lead a research project in an exciting, young & multi-disciplinary group
- You will contribute to our research activities with your creative input
- You will write manuscripts, present at scientific conferences, apply for fellowships & contribute to grants
- You will supervise and support junior members of our team
Your profile
What you bring for this position:
- PhD degree in a relevant subject (e.g. bioinformatics/computational biology, genomics or molecular/cancer/evolutionary biology)
- At least one first-author paper in a peer-reviewed journal
- Strong programming skills (e.g. R or python), experience with bash and a solid understanding of statistics
- Experience with next generation sequencing
- Experience with using pipelines and version control (e.g. NextFlow, Snakemake, GitHub) is a plus
- Self-motivation and proactive mind-set
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English is required (German is not required)
