Your responsibilities

  • You will lead a research project in an exciting, young & multi-disciplinary group
  • You will contribute to our research activities with your creative input
  • You will write manuscripts, present at scientific conferences, apply for fellowships & contribute to grants
  • You will supervise and support junior members of our team

Your profile

What you bring for this position: 

  • PhD degree in a relevant subject (e.g. bioinformatics/computational biology, genomics or molecular/cancer/evolutionary biology)
  • At least one first-author paper in a peer-reviewed journal
  • Strong programming skills (e.g. R or python), experience with bash and a solid understanding of statistics
  • Experience with next generation sequencing
  • Experience with using pipelines and version control (e.g. NextFlow, Snakemake, GitHub) is a plus
  • Self-motivation and proactive mind-set
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English is required (German is not required)
